They will be to help fund further training, learning or experience in Ophthalmology. This fund is not designed to support research projects.One bursary is for an Ophthalmology trainee who is on a rotation that includes Leeds. The other bursary will be for Ophthalmology Consultants working for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals.Applications are invited from Leeds Ophthalmologists by submitting a proposal detailing the purpose and benefit of the venture in less than 1500 words.The bursary will be for up to £1000 for expenses incurred on delivery of receipts. Applications should reach Mr Vernon Long, Brian Harcourt Memorial Fund Trustee, Ophthalmology Department, Chancellor’s Wing, St James’s University Hospital, Beckett Street, Leeds, LS9 7TF or by email to vernon.long AT leedsth.nhs.uk (use @ sign!) by 16th Sept 2011.
